Mooroolbark Explorers is a community ministry of the Mooroolbark Baptist Church. Our Travellers come from a wide range of backgrounds and mainly from the Cities of Yarra Ranges, Maroondah and Knox. Our longer trips attract people from all over Melbourne.
Although at times we have a diversity of ages, most travellers are in the over 50s age range.

Costs
We are a non-profit organisation and our crew are volunteers.We are therefore, able to offer reasonably low fares, which in turn make our trips more affordable and attractive to a wide group of people.

Our Trips.
1. We have monthly day trips (with a break over the winter period). Destinations are to a wide range of Victorian attractions within approximately 2-2 and a half hours of Mooroolbark.Morning tea and Lunch are prepared by the crew and are included in the days cost. Lunch is always eagerly anticipated and very much enjoyed.

2. We have a yearly 3-day trip approximately each October. Destinations for these trips are usually still in Victoria but to the more distant parts of our State. In the past we have visited Lakes Entrance, Warrnambool, Mildura and the Snowy Mountains.

3. Once a year we have a long 8-10 day trip.This is usually to other parts of Australia. Past destinations have included Tasmania, Kangaroo Island, Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Our destinations are decided by a committee of people and organised a year in advance.

Bookings.
Although we invite bookings all year we do have an annual formal booking day in December. Most people book ahead for the whole year at this time, but if a trip is booked out it is worthwhile joining the waiting list, as often unforseen cancellation free up a position for others to come along.

Cancellation Policy.
We ask that people pay for the day trips 14 days before the due date. A full refund is� available up to 3 days prior to the trip.
For our longer trips, details of payments and cancellation policy are always written in our brochures.

Departures are always from Mooroolbark Baptist Church and return to the same venue.

We do ask that our travellers be mobile and to get around by themselves as we do not have the staff to care for individual people. We do however welcome folk who need that extra level of care to bring a carer with them. This extra person would need to be booked at the time of booking.
