Jon Coombs
Lead Pastor
Jon, together with Jen and their three kids, joined the MBC family in April 2022.
For over 15 years Jon has been involved in some form of Christian ministry, predominantly through local churches and cross-cultural mission work. Jon graduated from the Melbourne School of Theology with an MDiv in 2012, having previously worked in the health and fitness industry. Jon is passionate about seeing people grow in their faith by engaging with the Bible, walking alongside fellow followers of Jesus, and seeking to worship God in the everyday.
Jon and Jen have been married for 18 years, having first met in their Year 7 class. They enjoy watching test match cricket together, having family holidays in warm beach locations, and eating KFC.
Simone Bunney
Pastor for Youth
Born and raised in a Christian family, Simone made a firm commitment to her faith in her later teen years and was baptised at in 2015.
Simone is studying toward a Bachelor of Ministry from Melbourne School of Theology. She has experience leading CYC camps, summer missions, and participating in short-term mission trips in Manila and North India.
In her free time, Simone enjoys art, painting, and being creative. She also has a talent for making delicious chocolate brownies. Her sense of calling, experience, heart for mission, and friendly nature make her a terrific leader to any church community.
Deb Sinclair
Office Administrator
Deb grew up at MBC along with her husband, Brad. They now have three children and continue to love being part of the community at MBC and serving together in the music ministry.
Before having her own children, Deb worked as a Primary Teacher in several schools. She has also been involved in leading various kid’s ministries over the years and loves sharing Jesus with younger generations.
In her spare time Deb loves going for walks, reading a good book or watching ‘rom-coms’. She loves doing puzzles with her kids and listening to music.
Kristi O'Donnell
Bookkeeper
Kristi grew up attending MBC and met her husband, Ryan, here. They continue to attend and serve MBC with their two children.
For over 30 years Kristi has been involved in children and youth ministry, either as a participant or in leadership. Kristi loves serving at MBC and feels fortunate to still call it her home.
Enjoying time spent in the garden with the family, Kristi loves to chat about growing veggies, flowers, and indoor plants.
