Mooroolbark Baptist Church is seeking a Church Administrator with a heart for people, a gifting for administration and a passion to support ministries of the local Church. Mooroolbark Baptist is a multigenerational Church in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. As a Church, we seek to connect to God in worship, have hearts that are transformed through the study of God’s Word, to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to serve God through serving others with a Kingdom focus.
The Church Administrator provides support to the Church’s leadership teams, communication to church members, hands on financial management, coordination of property, equipment and repairs and general administration. The role will also support the Church to meet various statutory, legal and legislative requirements along with supporting governance activities.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with relevant experience in an administrative role, highly developed interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn and embrace use of technology, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
The appointment to this position will be a part time position of 16 hours per week, with a preference for these hours to be spread over four days each week. The appointment will be for an initial period of two years which may be extended upon satisfactory review.
This position will be based at the Church Office in Mooroolbark and is not considered a position that can be worked from home or a remote location.
The salary for this role will be negotiated with the appropriate candidate in accordance with the Clerk's Private Sector Award 2020 based on skills and experience. As part of our recruitment process you will be required to have pre-employment checks.
